“Behind the Mask” was initially created as a one-time promotion project for KAMIJO’s 2024″The Anthem” tour in Europe.
The series was intended to cover the three main releases containing KAMIJO’s story of Louis XVII, “Symphony of The Vampire” (2014), “Sang” (2018) and “OSCAR” (2022), but it was received so well by all of you that we decided to turn it into a full on original series exclusive to Arlequin. The name “Behind the Mask” was chosen because of the meaning of the words combined with KAMIJO’s metaphorical “mask” he put on whenever he performed as Louis, but also because it’s one of the songs in his discography (it’s found on the “OSCAR” album).

While our “Behind the Mask”-series was only intended to have three parts, we quickly learned from our most recent interview with KAMIJO that there would be a fourth part in this series. As you probably know by now, KAMIJO is preparing to tour Europe this June with his "The Anthem" tour, and for that reason we're doing a little promotion of our own. With our three-part "Behind the Mask" series we aim to give you a different view of KAMIJO's solo works by diving into his story of Louis XVII.
Since this story spans various releases, we've divided it into three parts. In this third and final part we'll cover the "OSCAR" album, which was released in 2022.
