You might have seen this small notification slide by on Twitter already, but in case you haven’t…
Do you remember the interview I did with the members of 摩天楼オペラ (Matenrou Opera) in late January of this year?
(If you haven’t read it, or need a quick refresher, you can find it here!)
One of the topics I asked 苑 (Sono), 彩雨 (Ayame) 耀 (Yo) and 響 (Hibiki) about was their webshop. Since at that time it was only possible to order their newest single 儚く消える愛の讃歌 (Hakanaku kieru ai no sanka) through their very own webshop, which doesn’t ship overseas. Their answer was short and simple: “We know, we’re currently trying to find a solution for this problem.”. And so they did.
Worldwide pre-order through FAKE STAR USA
The header image for this post kind of betrayed what this was going to be about already, but let me tell you anyway:
From May 12 12:00PM PDT to May 26 11:59PM PDT the webshop of FAKE STAR USA is taking pre-orders for 摩天楼オペラ (Matenrou Opera) merchandise, including their latest single 儚く消える愛の讃歌 (Hakanaku kieru ai no sanka) and apparel like T-shirts, hoodies, a coach jacket, cap and facemasks.
About shipping
When the pre-order period is over, it’s no longer possible to order any of the items, because it is a “made-to-order” type of deal in which all ordered items will be sent from Japan to the USA and then to your address anywhere in the world. This is also why it will take a little longer for your package to arrive than you’re probably used to.
Additionally, for orders with a total of over $50 (before tax and shipping) you will receive a random cheki from one of the members for free, and for orders over $100 (again, before tax and shipping) you will receive an autographed postcard.
But what about payment methods?
Like I said, this is a worldwide pre-order, so you can place an order from anywhere in the world address wise.
The only “problem” is that there is currently a problem with PayPal as a payment method, so unfortunately they cannot accept orders with PayPal right now. They do accept all major credit cards and if you prefer bank transfer you can contact FAKE STAR USA about this and they’ll make arrangements with you.

雪 (Yuki) is the owner and driving force behind Arlequin.
She originally started the project in 2009 as a photographer under the name of Arlequin Photography, but developed an interest in journalism and translation ever since. Because of these interests interviews and reviews were added to the project, until it eventually hit the limits as a "photographer" in 2021, and Arlequin Magazine was added to the mix.
雪 (Yuki) is a native Dutch speaker with a graphic design degree, which means she is also the main person behind Arlequin Creations.
After all these years she is still the main person who does interviews the interviews and live photos that you see on Arlequin, but also a large chunk of the reviews and behind-the-scenes work and communication goes through her.
She speaks Dutch and English on a native level, but also understands Japanese and German.
