David // SUI’s birthday will be celebrated with a live show

For his birthday SUI has announced that he will be playing not one, but two live shows named “Fragment & Reminiscence” in 浦和Narciss (Urawa Narciss) on the 23rd and 24th of January.

Originally it was intended as a full live show which would also be broadcasted through TwitCasting, but due to the new state of emergency being declared in Japan some changes have been made to the schedule.
~ The show on January 23 has been changed to a livestream only, free of charge. Everyone who has ordered either a physical ticket or a livestream ticket will be refunded shortly.
~ The show on January 24 has been rescheduled to March, and tickets purchased for the original date will remain valid for the new date. (If you’d rather have your ticket refunded then please contact David’s staff with this request.)

Fragment & Reminiscence Day 1

For this show SUI will be supported by 遥 (Haruka), (who is normally the guitarist for “the Reveude”), on guitar and Mao Yamamoto on piano for a special acoustic performance that doesn’t play just songs from SUI’s career with David, but also from his other solo works.
The performance is set to start at 4:30 PM and will end at 5:15 PM JST.
As mentioned earlier, the show will be available for free on TwitCasting worldwide.

Fragment & Reminiscence Day 2

The second performance, which has been rescheduled to somewhere in March, will be with SUI’s familiar full band lineup featuring erina on guitar, Яyu (from Ashmaze) on bass and Syu on drums.
For this performance SUI also won’t limit himself to David’s songs alone, but he also plans to include songs he composed under the name SUI, former projects he has been a part of and cover songs.

Extra information

For the performance on Day 2 there was a special event in which you could request up to 3 songs that might be included in the setlist, but requests were closed on December 31st, 2020 for rehearsal purposes. Since this article actually went up after this scheduled date, I decided not to mention it as an option.
During the second day there’s also a special commemorative single available, titled “Fragment & Reminiscence”. This single will only be available for a limited time. There’s also a photo session scheduled for after the performance ends.

All tickets are available through David’s webshop, here: https://wizardstore.stores.jp/
Or, if you’d rather have a direct link for each ticket, I’ve made a list here for you:
Day 1 (Free live through TwitCasting)
Day 2 (regular admission, ¥6,000): https://wizardstore.stores.jp/items/5fdcbf4172eb4660557ae7e8
Day 2 (special ticket, ¥12,400): https://wizardstore.stores.jp/items/5fdcbea0f0b108076e6dbeaf

Also, SUI’s webshop has a special option for overseas shipping. But we’ll get into this in detail another time.

And especially for the fans in Europe: SUI and his team are still working as hard as they can to make the show in Paris that was supposed to take place in 2020 happen anyway. Once more information becomes available I’ll let you know too!

雪 (Yuki) is the owner and driving force behind Arlequin.
She originally started the project in 2009 as a photographer under the name of Arlequin Photography, but developed an interest in journalism and translation ever since. Because of these interests interviews and reviews were added to the project, until it eventually hit the limits as a "photographer" in 2021, and Arlequin Magazine was added to the mix.

雪 (Yuki) is a native Dutch speaker with a graphic design degree, which means she is also the main person behind Arlequin Creations.
After all these years she is still the main person who does interviews the interviews and live photos that you see on Arlequin, but also a large chunk of the reviews and behind-the-scenes work and communication goes through her.

She speaks Dutch and English on a native level, but also understands Japanese and German.
