Synk;yet // An important announcement

Synk;yet have an important announcement regarding the break from bassist Shiori since last January, so he could undergo treatment for nodular sclerosing Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

He went in for a medical exam on March 25, and he received the good news that he should fully recover by April 25, allowing him to return to the live activities with the band starting May 4!

A free oneman live show commemorating the return of Synk;yet as well as the release of the MV collection DVD “dimension of vision” will be held at 池袋CYBER (IkebukuroCYBER) on May 12!

A comment from bassist Shiori himself:
“I apologize for the trouble and worry that I’ve caused to all who have continued to support me through my break. I wish I could report that I’ve completely healed, but due to the nature of Hodgkin’s lymphona -that is, cancer- I can’t say that I’m over it completely.

I will undergo regular follow-up exams for the next five years following the end of my treatment to see if there will be any signs of relapse. I will begin with radiation therapy on April 2 for as many as 18 treatments, and I will be able to return to the stage on May 12.

Please wait for me just a little bit longer!”

Shiori

Both Shiori and the other members of the band as well as all staff of Starwave Records are eternally grateful for your support for Synk;yet!

雪 (Yuki) is the owner and driving force behind Arlequin.
She originally started the project in 2009 as a photographer under the name of Arlequin Photography, but developed an interest in journalism and translation ever since. Because of these interests interviews and reviews were added to the project, until it eventually hit the limits as a "photographer" in 2021, and Arlequin Magazine was added to the mix.

雪 (Yuki) is a native Dutch speaker with a graphic design degree, which means she is also the main person behind Arlequin Creations.
After all these years she is still the main person who does interviews the interviews and live photos that you see on Arlequin, but also a large chunk of the reviews and behind-the-scenes work and communication goes through her.

She speaks Dutch and English on a native level, but also understands Japanese and German.
